Description
The Garden House and part of the garden walls, located 50 metres southwest of the Manor House, date back to the 17th century and have undergone later alterations. The structure is built from brick and flint, featuring brick bands and stone, with a tiled roof. The wall has a stone coping. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a corner or wall that adjoins a walled garden. It is a single storey with gabled parapets and buttresses at the base of the wall on the south side.
On the north elevation, there is a re-set moulded stone door surround to the left, which has the inscription "A IG 1602" on the lintel, along with a blank cambered headed recess in the gable. The west elevation features a small rectangular stone surround for a window with an ovolo mould. The south elevation has a two-light 20th-century stone mullioned window. Additionally, there is a portion of the garden wall that is approximately 40 metres long and 2 metres high, running north from the garden house to form the east wall of the walled garden.
