Description
Nos. 21-23 on Main Street is a cottage that was later converted into a house and veterinary surgery. It dates back to the early 17th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame with painted plaster infill and a tiled roof. It consists of three bays, with a short bay containing a round chimney, and an extension at right angles to the rear. There are two cross gables on the north side flanking the main chimney. The structure is one storey with an attic, and it has a gabled eaves dormer on the north side of the west bay. A large chimney is situated between the east and central bays, while a small chimney is located on the west gable.
On the north elevation, there are 19th-century oriel windows in each cross gable, a canted oriel window in the left bay, a three-light casement window in the central bay, and a door beneath a gabled hood. There is also a canted oriel window in the right bay.
