Description

19 The Broadway is a late 18th century building that has been refronted as part of a redevelopment scheme, which also included Nos 21 and 23. It has two storeys and dormers, featuring two windows. The building has a tile roof with a brick ridgestack and is constructed of painted brick. There is a wooden eaves cornice and flat-topped dormer sashes. The first floor has recessed sash windows with glazing bars. A notable feature is the original double shopfront, which includes segmental bowed shop windows with small panes. Narrow pilasters support an entablature with a projecting cornice. The shop doorway has a rectangular fanlight and a panelled door. At the rear, there is a two-storey brick range with wide weavers windows on the first floor, also with small panes.
