Description
North Denford Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick, featuring grey headers and red stretchers, and has a plain tiled roof that is hipped on the 18th-century extension. The layout is T-shaped, with the cross piece being the 18th-century extension. The 18th-century section is two storeys high, while the 17th-century part has two storeys and an attic, and there is a one-storey 20th-century section. A central ridge chimney and a dentil eaves course are characteristic of the 17th-century construction.
On the southeast elevation, the 18th-century wing on the left is taller and has one tripartite 19th-century sash window with a cambered head on each floor. The central 17th-century section features a gabled dormer to the left, a blank panel with a painted window to the left, and two 20th-century casements to the right on the first floor. The entrance door has three bolection-moulded panels and is topped with a flat hood supported by cut brackets, situated beneath a blank panel. To the right, there is a single-storey gabled 20th-century extension.
