Description
Post Office Stores is a building that originally comprised two houses and has been altered to serve as a shop and residence. It dates from the late 18th century and underwent changes in the 20th century. The structure is built of brick, featuring grey headers and red stretchers, with a rendered south wall and a half hipped tiled roof. It has a rectangular plan with parallel roof pitches and stands two storeys high, showcasing corbelled eaves.
On the west elevation, all windows have cambered heads. The first floor features four three-light casements, while the ground floor has a cross glazed sash window to the left. There is an early 20th-century shop front that includes two doors, and 20th-century aluminium windows have been installed in the original openings flanking the entrance door to the right, which has a blank panel above it.
