Description
The Stable Block, located to the west of Kennet House, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a tiled hipped roof. The building is designed in an L shape with a central gable. It has one storey and a loft, with a brick dentil course at the eaves. The north elevation includes five hipped dormers, a clock in the central gable, a weathervane on the gable, and a gable parapet. To the left of the central gable, there are three dormers with leaded casements, three glazing bar sashes with exposed frames and cambered heads, alternating with two boarded doors, one of which is in a partly blocked wider opening. There is a boarded door to the hay loft, which is accessed by a timber stair above the boarded door in the central gable. To the right, there is one glazing bar sash and two boarded doors.
