EAST ILSLEY HIGH STREET SU 48 SE (East side) 3/34 The Star (Formerly listed as the Star Inn) 25.10.51 II

House, now public house. C15 with C16, C17, C18, C19 and C20 alterations and additions. Tile hanging over brick and timber frame, flint plinth, brick with flint plinth; tiled roofs. L plan with half hip to gable on west. One and a half storeys; 3 gabled dormers on west with rendered gables and star and fleur de lis patterns in render; end stacks north, south and east, ridge stacks to centre of each ridge. West Elevation:- 5-light square flat roofed bay across gable to left, glazing bar sash in centre and 4-light mullioned and transomed casement to right; 3- light casements in dormers; flat timber porch to right of bay over C20 door, flat square timber porch over closed C20 door between sash and casements. Interior:- remains of arch braced truss with moulded braces in centre of west range, remains of large curved brace in partition wall between west and north ranges, north range timber framed, part C16 and part C17 framing exposed on upper floors.
