Description

Filbert House is an early 19th-century house with 20th-century extensions. It is constructed of brick with a slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan, with the extensions projecting forward on either side. The house is two storeys high with an attic, featuring a 20th-century roof light on the south side and flanking chimneys. The south elevation has three glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads. A central four-panel door is accentuated by a reeded doorcase and dentilled cornice over, and is topped with a semi-circular fanlight. The north elevation is irregular, with three windows; the outer windows are glazing bar sashes, and the central section is blank.
