Description

This is a Type 24 pillbox, built in 1940 as part of the War Office design. It is one of a pair that were constructed to defend Benham Bridge. The structure is polygonal and made of concrete. It is part of Southern Command's GHQ Line Blue, which was established for the defense of the UK during the Second World War.
