Description
The Bacon Arms Hotel is an early 19th-century building that has been remodeled from an older structure, previously known as the Bacon Arms Inn and earlier the Maidenhead Inn. It is two storeys high and features dormers, with a total of five windows. The hotel has a tile roof and is constructed of painted brick, adorned with a dentil cornice. There are five gabled casement dormers, and the recessed sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars. The outer and central bay windows include sidelights, and there is a segmental arched carriage entrance. In the west wall of the yard passage, there is an entrance with sidelights and a segmental fanlight. At the rear, the building has splayed bay windows with sashes.
The interior has been altered but still retains ceiling beams from the 17th and 18th centuries on the ground floor.
