Description
The boundary wall is located approximately 25 metres to the north and approximately 25 metres to the south of the gate piers at the west entrance to Basildon Park. This wall dates from the late 18th to early 19th century and is constructed of brick with flint panels arranged horizontally within the banded brickwork, topped with brick copings. It forms part of the boundary wall of Basildon Park, although it is no longer complete. This brick and flint wall is notable for its historical significance and contributes to the overall character of the estate, which is designated as Grade I. It also has group value with Basildon Park, Oxford Lodge (Grade II*), and Godwin's Lodges (Grade II).
