Description
No. 131 is a house located on the east side of Hungerford High Street. It dates from the early 18th century and has some 19th-century additions. The building features a tiled roof and a red brick front, with the sides finished in painted render and grey brick that includes red dressings. Notable architectural details include a moulded timber eaves cornice, a moulded brick band at the first floor, and rubbed brick flat arches. The house is two storeys high with a garret. On each side of the central door, there are two 18th-century glazing bar sash windows with exposed frames on both floors. Flanking the main block are early 19th-century brick bow windows, each two storeys high and featuring two glazing bar sashes. Access to the first-floor door is provided by a pedestrian bridge.
