Description
Oakhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a large house. It dates from the 18th century and was extended in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of vitreous and red brick and features a half hipped old tile roof. It has an irregular plan with 19th-century extensions on the northeast side. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has flanking and central chimneys with offset heads. Notable architectural features include a brick string course and dentilled eaves, sash windows with glazing bars set in architrave frames, segmental heads, and brick cills. The long front of the building has a four-bay central section flanked by two-storey angular bays, with one later bay of similar character on the left side.
