Description
Trumpletts Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a large house, dating from the early 18th century. The building features a mix of brick and tile hanging, with an old tiled roof that is gabled on the north side and half hipped on the south. It has a rectangular plan, a pent roof at the rear, and an early 19th-century extension on the north side. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with an attic and a cellar.
On the southwest front, there are four irregular bays, with one gabled dormer at each end of the roof. The first floor has three cross windows and one two-light casement window. The ground floor features three cross windows and a six-fielded panelled entrance door located in the second bay from the left. This entrance is flanked by fluted pilasters and has a flat wooden hood supported by scroll brackets, which is set beneath a 20th-century gabled porch. There is a flanking chimney on the left and a very tall chimney at the rear.
