Description
Bothampstead Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse that has been altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of vitreous brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and a cellar, with flanking chimneys and one smaller chimney on the north hip.
The south front has three bays, with tripartite sash windows that include glazing bars. The central bay features a four-pane sash window above a six-panelled central door, which has top panels that are glazed and an arched radiating fanlight. On the east front, there is a 20th-century entrance door with a shallow curved hood supported by carved brackets. Above this door is a three-light casement window with a segmental head, and to the left of the door is a small single-light casement window.
