Description
Hollytree Cottages are two cottages located on the north side of Cock Lane in Bradfield. They date from the mid-17th century, with a 19th-century addition. The cottages are timber framed, featuring angle braces, 20th-century planted timbers, brick nogging, and a brick ground floor. The roof is covered with old tiles and has three gabled semi-dormers and end stacks. The structure consists of three framed bays and is one and a half storeys tall.
On the central ground floor, there is a one-light casement window, with two-light casements to the left and right. There are boarded doors between the first and second, and the second and third windows from the left. The cottages also have two 19th-century gabled porches with decorated barge boards and tiled roofs. The 19th-century addition to the left is made of red brick and has an old tile roof, standing two storeys tall with one two-light casement window on each floor, the ground floor window featuring a segmental head.
