Description
Berry's Cottage is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with 20th-century additions. It features a timber frame with brick and flint nogging, rendered up to the ground floor cill level, and has an old tile roof. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of one framed bay and a three-bay cross wing to the right, and is one and a half storeys high.
On the cross wing's half-hipped gable end, there is a three-light 20th-century casement window. To the left, a 19th-century gabled dormer contains a two-light casement window. The left side has an end stack, while the cross wing has an off-centre ridge stack to the right.
The ground floor includes a three-light casement window to the left, a four-light 20th-century casement window to the right, and a two-light horizontal sliding sash window with a hoodmould at the far right, set within a one-storey lean-to. There is a boarded door located off-centre to the left, positioned between the first and second windows from the left, which is sheltered by a 20th-century rustic gabled porch.
