Description

Ryders is a cottage dating to the 17th century, with later additions to the rear. The building is timber framed and rendered, with an old tile half-hipped roof and end stack to the left, and a stack at the rear. It has an L-shaped plan. The front has two timber-framed bays, with a further bay to the rear. The upper floor has two 3-light leaded casement windows. A central, gabled porch, with a boarded door, is flanked by a 3-light casement to the left and a 3-light metal casement to the right, both of 20th-century date. A 1½-storey addition to the right has an old tile roof with a gabled dormer containing a 2-light leaded casement, and a ground floor 4-light leaded casement, all of 20th-century date.
