Description

The Junction Inn Public House is a public house dating from around the mid-19th century, with later remodeling in the 19th century. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a slate hipped roof, part of which has a parapet. The building has brick axial and lateral stacks. The plan is L-shaped, with a single-storey bar addition built in the angle during the late 19th century.

The exterior is two storeys high, with a three-bay south front that includes a parapet and four-pane sash windows on the first floor. The ground floor features a large canted bay on the left, a central round-headed doorway with a canopy, and an elliptically arched bar window on the right with foiled tracery. To the right, alternating round-arch doorways and similar elliptically arched bar windows continue on a single-storey balustraded infill in the angle with the east wing.

The interior retains much of the late 19th-century public house furnishings, including an elaborate bar back and a curved counter, which has been boarded over at the front. It also features glazed and panelled low partitions, as well as mid-19th-century and early 20th-century chimneypieces.
