Description
St Thomas's Vicarage is a building constructed between 1853 and 1854 by G E Street. It features red brick with some blue brick bands and a stone band at the first floor window sill level, topped with a slate roof that has decorative edging tiles. The vicarage is two storeys high and has three bays, with the centre bay advanced and gabled, while the third bay is also gabled.
On the ground floor, there is a four-light window set beneath a segmental arch, along with a central porch that has a two-centred entrance arch and an original door flanked by angle buttresses. The first floor includes a two-light window and a single-light window beneath a single segmental head, both with a half-hipped roof. Additionally, there is a three-light window beneath a two-centred arch with shaped tiles in the tympanum of the porch gable, and another three-light window beneath a two-centred arch with shaped tiles in its tympanum. On the right-hand return, there is a two-light window beneath a two-centred arch with shaped tiles in its tympanum, situated beside a buttress. The building also features a prominent chimney stack.
