Description

CHURCH ROAD 1. 5128 (South Side) Caversham Retaining walls to raised walk to Riverside Garden Pavilion at Caversham Court SU 7074 11/446 II 2. C17. Mostly brick, partly flint with brick banding and buttresses (to west). Varies from 8 to 5 foot high (lower to east, formal side). The retaining wall of the terrace walk is continued north up to the church yard retaining wall (qv) although interrupted by the allotments entrance (flint base with brick lacing courses, buttresses and upper courses).
