Description

The Church of All Saints is a Church of England building dating from 1865 to 1874. Designed by J.P. St Aubyn, it was conceived as an extension to the nearby St Mary’s church to serve a growing suburb. The church is constructed of coursed Pennant sandstone rubble with Bath stone ashlar dressings, featuring weathered buttresses and raised verges. The roof is tiled. The architectural style is Early English, with a five-bay aisled nave, a short transept, and an apsed east end. A narthex is located to the west, featuring a high gabled porch with a double entry elaborately decorated with multiple orders and blind geometric tracery incorporating carved monograms. A rose window is positioned above the porch. An intended spire was not realised.

The interior is notable for its painted arcade, a richly decorated five-window apse, and mural mosaics to the west.
