Description

The water tower, built around 1870, is a large two-stage square structure made of red brick, featuring grey brick bands at various intervals. These bands are decorative at the impost and top levels, and the tower has a cogged and moulded bracket cornice at the blocking course. Each side of the tower has three tall lancet windows with grey and red brick voussoirs, and there are stone keyed oculi above each window.
