Description

This is a building consisting of numbers 6 to 22 Russell Street, dating to the early to mid-19th century. It is composed of paired houses, stepped down from number 22, except for number 6. The construction is primarily red brick, with a stucco plat band and three courses of white brick below the eaves. The roof is slate, and the building features ridge chimneys. There are dormers with casement windows, two each on numbers 20 and 22 and one each on others. The houses are two bays wide, with glazing bar sash windows, arched at ground floor and incorporating marginal glazing. A round-headed recess to the right accommodates a recessed six-panel door with a patterned fanlight. Numbers 6 to 14 have channelled stucco surrounds to the doorways. Number 16 has a more modern glazed door.
