Description
No. 60 St Bartholomew's Road is a vicarage for St Bartholomew's Church, built in 1883 by architect Alfred Waterhouse. This Gothic and asymmetric building is 2 and a half storeys tall, constructed of red brick with a plinth. It features a wide grey and red brick chequer band over the ground floor and in the gables, along with raised brick diapering and decorative verges. The roof is tiled and gabled, with later chimneys added. On the north side, there are two gables, each with three segmental headed sash windows and a central bay. The left gable has a slightly corbelled first floor, while the right bay projects slightly and includes corner buttresses and two pointed doorways. The garden front consists of seven bays, three of which have slight gabled breaks to the left of the center.
