Description
The University of Reading School of Education occupies a villa dating from the 1840s. Built of stucco with a slate roof, the building faces south. It features rusticated quoins and a symmetrical three-bay design. The windows are cross-glazed and plate glass sashes, each with a hood mould and an outer tripartite arrangement. A parapet runs along the roofline. A projecting box porch with rounded corners and a pierced parapet provides the entrance. The porch door is half-glazed and has stop-chamfered reveals. The main entrance door is four-panelled with glazed side panels and a rectangular overlight with lozenge glazing.
