Description
The Gladstone Club is a stucco villa built around 1840, located at 149 London Road. It is designed in a style similar to the villas in Eldon Square. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a three-storey cross wing positioned off the centre to the left. The ground floor features channelled detailing and a plinth, while the right-hand corner is partly quoined. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, with flat eaves. The facade consists of a symmetrical arrangement of windows with glazing bar sashes, featuring raised surrounds on the first floor. A projecting porch with an arched entrance and sidelights is located at the centre of the right-hand wing.
