Description

These are a pair of semi-detached villas, numbers 64 to 70 Basingstoke Road, built around 1840. The villas have a front of Bath stone and are linked by a recessed two-story entrance block. They have hipped slate roofs with wide bracketed eaves cornices, and modern attic additions. The buildings are two and a half storeys high, with a basement. The ground floor is channelled and features a moulded impost band above two arched ground-floor windows. The upper sashes have radiating glazing, and the windows are fitted with marginal glazing. There is a range of glazing bar sashes, with a plain, slightly recessed bay containing smaller windows next to the entrance link bay. Brackets support the first-floor windows. Numbers 64 and 66 possess a central stone stack.
