Description

This is a circa 1840 brick terrace, numbered 3 to 13 Coley Hill. The terrace is stepped and three storeys high with a basement. It is built of brick with stucco detailing, including a string course at the first-floor level. The building features a brick and stucco entablature, a brick parapet, and a slate roof. Each house has two windows. The upper-floor windows have stucco surrounds and retain glazing bar sashes, although some have been replaced with later marginal glazed sashes. Number 7 has modern casement windows on the second floor and retains cill brackets below the first-floor windows. Numbers 3 to 7 retain trefoil-headed railings, but their original two-panel doors have been lost, unlike those at numbers 9 to 13.
