Description
Wymering Vicarage is a vicarage built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with grey headers in Flemish bond and features a plain tile hipped roof. The building has two storeys and consists of eight bays.
In the sixth bay, there is a recessed door with three moulded panels, surrounded by an architrave case and reeded reveals. This door is sheltered by a projecting Gothic-style glazed timber porch that has a pitched tiled roof and a gable with open shaped bargeboards. To the left of the door are five sash windows, and to the right are two sash windows, all with moulded architraves and set under segmental gauged brick arches with flat brick infill to the soffits. The first floor has seven similar sash windows and one blinded tile-hung opening, all positioned beneath bracketed eaves.
Additionally, the vicarage has an entrance from Old Wymering Lane. The interior has not been inspected.
