Description

This is a gun mounted on a wooden block located in front of Fort Widley in Portsmouth. It dates from around 1858 and is a cast-iron 68 pounder carronade that originally came from the Point Battery in Portsmouth. The gun was previously positioned in front of the Point Battery, which is not included in this listing.
