Description

This structure is a bollard located on the north side of the Round Tower in Portsmouth, specifically on Tower Street at The Point. Originally a cannon barrel, it is engraved with the date 1708. The cannon barrel was repurposed as a bollard, likely in the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a tapering barrel that is set on end.
