Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Broad Street in Portsmouth. The houses are built of scored stucco and have paired, hipped tiled roofs. They are three storeys high with an attic, and each has a single wide bay. Each house features a 20th-century door to the right and two sashes to the left. A central through-passage connects the two houses. The first floor of each house has a tripartite bowed oriel window with a four-pane sash, accompanied by bowed metal window guards, pilasters dividing the lights, a frieze, and a cornice. The second floor has a 16-pane sash in No.10 and an 18-pane double sash in No.12. A sign above the central passage reads "Dores Court," situated below a stone-coped parapet. Modern dormer windows are visible in the attic. The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
