Description

Flagship House is a late 18th and early 19th century house on the south-east side of St Thomas’s Street, Portsmouth. The house is built of grey brick in a header bond pattern, with red brick dressings around the windows and quoins. The roof is hidden, and there's a brick chimney stack to the right. The building has three storeys and a basement, with a single bay facing the street. To the left of the façade, three stone steps lead up to a late 20th century door within a wooden surround, featuring flanking pilasters and a flat entablature. A 16-pane sash window is located to the right, and on the second floor is a 12-pane sash window, which is unequally hung. Both windows are set within gauged brick arches. A brick dentil band with a stone capping runs above the second floor. A stone-coped parapet tops the building. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
