Description
Linholme, part of St John's College Roman Catholic School, is a villa that dates back to around 1840. The building is finished in stucco and features a low pitch hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. It stands two stories tall and has three stepped bays, with rusticated quoins on either side of each bay.
On the right side, there is a six-panelled door with a blinded fanlight, which is set within a projecting one-story rusticated porch. This porch is flanked by engaged Tuscan columns and has a frieze cornice and parapet. There are two round-headed sash windows on either side of the porch. To the left, each of the two bays contains a 20th-century casement window. The first floor features two margin glazed sash windows and one 20th-century casement, all set within a moulded architrave and a sillband course. The left return of the building steps back in two bays and includes a 20th-century flat roof extension in the recess. The interior has not been inspected.
