Description

Ousebank Cottage is an early to mid-18th century building, originally constructed in three stages and formerly comprised of at least two dwellings. It is two storeys and has an attic. The front facade has two windows on the first floor and, on the ground floor, three windows and two smaller openings. A single doorway is centrally positioned, featuring pilasters and an entablature, and a door with four flush panels. The cottage is constructed of brick, with a moulded eaves band. It has three-light casement windows, and a glazing bar sash window on the ground floor to the right. The roof is later slate, with three hipped dormers and a brick verge to the left. There are three wooden lintels on the ground floor. To the right is a lower, two-storey brick stable with a brick verge, the rear of which is partly stone and partly tiled.
