Description

Nos 26, 27, and 28 on Common Street are a row of three terraced cottages built in the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubblestone and topped with thatch roofs. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The windows are casement style. Number 26 has boarded-up windows with oak lintels and a gable stack. Number 28, located between Nos 26 and 27, features leaded casements on the first floor and a boarded door beneath a gabled hood. The south elevation has party stacks and leaded casements, with three lights on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. Number 27 has casements, a slated lean-to on the north side, casements facing south, and both a central and a west party brick stack.
