Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and features an old tile roof. The building has two bays and stands two storeys high. On the left side, there is a 17th-century doorway with a quarter round moulded frame that is stopped two thirds of the way down the jambs. Above the doorway is an oak lintel and an open gabled hood, also with an old tile roof. The windows include a segmental stone arched window with leaded casements; most are three-lights, except for the left-hand ground floor window, which has two-lights. There are flanking stacks on the building. The south gable has a blocked doorway and leaded casements on the rear elevations under oak lintels.
