Description

Appletrees is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made later. It is constructed of colourwashed rubblestone and features thatched roofs. The building is one storey with an attic and consists of two bays. The northeast wing, which is one bay, was added in the 19th and 20th centuries and is also thatched, creating an L-shaped plan. The southwest elevation has two casement windows, with the upper window set into the thatch. The northeast elevation includes a thatched porch and a modern hipped addition. There are brick stacks on either side of the cottage.
