Description
Numbers 1, 2, and 3 Mansion Houses is a house that has been converted into three cottages. It dates from the 17th century and was altered in the 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with an old tile roof. It features three wide bays, each forming a cottage, and is two storeys high with an attic.
The north front has a door to the right and two doors side by side between the left-hand bays, all set in modern gabled porches. The windows are irregular casements, with two per bay, except for the left-hand ground floor bay which has only one. Most windows are three-light, but some are two-light, and they have oak lintels. Each of the right-hand bays has a dormer with two-light windows. The gables are stone-coped and sit on kneelers, with a stack on the left-hand side and between the right-hand bays. The rear, or south elevation, is similar but has small lean-tos for Nos. 1 and 2 and a gabled porch for No. 3.
