Description
Crag Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century with 18th-century alterations. It is built of limestone rubble and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with quoins at the corners. There is a half-glazed door set in a chamfered quoined surround in the second bay, with a small square window to the left on both the ground and first floors. To the right of the door on the ground floor, there are a three-light and a four-light recessed chamfered mullion window, the left one featuring a raised lintel. On the first floor, there are two three-light windows; the left window has chamfered mullions, while the right one has sawn stone flat-faced mullions. An inserted 20th-century window is located between these two. At the rear, there is an outshut extending from the first three bays, with a curved corner that suggests the position of a staircase. Inside, there is a fireplace located between the third and fourth bays, featuring a plain sawn stone surround.
