Description

Coates Lane Farmhouse is a 19th-century farmhouse, dated 1829. It is constructed of limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises two bays wide by two bays deep. It features quoins. The central entrance has a board door in a plain surround, with a lintel inscribed with the date '1829' and a cornice. Flanking the entrance and on the first floor are four-pane sashes in slightly projecting plain surrounds. The farmhouse has shaped kneelers, gable copings, and corniced end stacks. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
