Description
The Church of All Saints is a parish church located in Bow Brickhill. It dates back to the 15th century, with an earlier core, and underwent restoration by Browne-Willis in 1756-1757, followed by further restoration around 1883 when the south porch was added. The church is constructed from brown sandstone rubble, with some dressings made of Totternhoe stone, and repairs done in limestone and brick. The nave has a lead roof, while the north aisle is covered with slates and the chancel has tiles.
The 15th-century embattled west tower features corner buttresses, three slates, a three-light west window, and two-light belfry windows. The aisles contain restored 15th-century windows, and the chancel has a brick east wall from 1756. Inside, the nave consists of three bays with 15th-century arches, and the roof was repaired in 1630. Notable interior fittings include an octagonal font and a decorated pulpit, both from the 15th century. The church is set in a fine hilltop churchyard that offers extensive views.
