SP 94 NW CHICHELEY HALL LANE

3/26 Wall with attached stone pier and pair of gatepiers N. of Chicheley Hall -

GV II Stone pier and wall to walled garden N. of Hall, C18, part of the original garden layout by George London. Tall ashlar stone pier with rusticated effect, vermiculation to N. face, moulded cornice, large enriched double scroll on top of wall, small blank arch below on S. face of hall with keyblocks and reminculated quoins. Attached wall of rubble stone on N. face, backed and raised in brick. Pair of gatepiers at N.W. corner of brick with moulded stone cornices and ball finials. W. wall attached to service wing (q.v.) with gothic arched gateway with raised brick keyblock and impost, fielded panelled tympanum.
