Description
The garden wall to the south west side of The Wilderness at Weston Park dates from the 18th century and is constructed of coursed rubblestone. It forms the south west perimeter, facing Flood Lane, of The Wilderness, which is a woodland garden. The north west side features a rubble stone wall that serves as a Ha Ha. The garden includes a diagonal avenue and meandering paths, along with various monuments. This area was frequented by the poet William Cowper, who lived in Olney and at Cowper's House in Weston Underwood.
