Description
The barn at Rye Farm is a 16th-century structure featuring archaic details. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a hipped roof covered in asbestos cement sheets. The barn includes one wagon porch and has an interior layout of three bays with additional half bays at each end. It is aisled and supported by passing braces, with rafters tied with collars every fourth. All main timbers are chamfered and feature open tenons.
