Description

This is a chest tomb located approximately 5 metres west of the tower at the Church of St Mary Magdalen in Gillingham. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of limestone ashlar in a Neo-classical style. The tomb features a square plinth with a moulded top and base, and it is inscribed to Richard Martin, who died in 1857. Atop the tomb is a draped urn.
