Description

This chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 3 metres northeast of the east end of the Church of St Mary Magdalen in Gillingham. It is made of limestone ashlar and is designed in a mid-Georgian style. The rectangular chest tomb features a moulded base, gadrooned quarter balusters at the corners, raised side and end panels, and a moulded top. The inscription on the tomb is not legible.
