Description
This is a house dating back to around 1500, with an 18th-century block added to the north-west. The rear block is timber-framed and rendered on the ground floor, with exposed framing, close-studding and plaster infilling above. The south side is tile-hung, while the north side shows exposed framing with a 20th-century rendered extension at ground floor level. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design, gablets, a gabled tile-hung staircase dormer, and a large ridge stack, both positioned off-centre to the left.
The front of the house is irregular, with four windows. A 20th-century lean-to porch is positioned off-centre to the left, with half-timbering and a tiled roof. The front block is rendered, has a plain tiled hipped roof, and tall end slope stacks. It contains three windows with 16-light glazing bar sashes, except for a 12-light sash on the first floor. A central panelled door is now concealed behind a 20th-century weather porch.
Inside, the front block includes modest 18th-century fireplaces. Evidence of the original timber frame is visible in the rear. A 17th-century wooden staircase leads to the staircase dormer. The roof structure consists of rafters, collars, and side purlins.
