Description
The well house opposite Miers Court, located on the south side of Miers Court Road in Gillingham, dates from the 18th to 19th century. It features a timber frame and a thatched hipped roof. The structure includes an E-shaped spindle with a drum at the top, a braced arm for a horse, and four wooden posts supporting the winding wheel over the well, which is capped by a stone flag. This well house is a rare and unusual surviving example of its type. Miers Court is not included in this listing.
